The dream dates were at the romantic Le Taha’a Island Resort & Spa, a Relais & Chateaux hotel and the dramatic final rose ceremony took place at the Hilton Bora Bora Nui Resort & Spa. The bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky and bachelors experienced some of Tahiti’s most amazing activities – they swam with sting rays, jetted around on a high-speed catamaran, were pampered in world-class spas, dined on five-star cuisine, took a helicopter to the heart-shaped motu “Tupai,” and jet-skied the world-famous lagoon of Bora Bora.
From the outset of this project, one main goal for Tahiti Tourisme was to illustrate the beauty of the destination and incorporate activities and experiences that would be appealing to The Bachelorette’s 15 million American viewers. The producers of the program were amazing to work with – and amenable to incorporating these truly Polynesian experiences. These experiences included a helicopter tour to the heart-shaped atoll of Tupai, romantic dinners on secluded islets, navigating the Fa’aroa River and shopping at le marché on the island of Raiatea.
Tahiti, officially known as French Polynesia, is comprised of 118 spectacular and romantic islands and atolls. The islands of Tahiti are much closer than many people think, only an eight-hour flight from Los Angeles and located in the same time zone as Hawaii. Each of the many islands of Tahiti is a tiny paradise in itself. Some isles are crowned with jagged peaks soaring magically out of the ocean in an explosion of green velvet while others appear as if gracefully tossed upon the ocean and barely floating above breaking waves.
